BMW's E90 M3 represented their last ever naturally aspirated M3, celebrating the format with their highest revving engine ever. The award-winning, bespoke S65B40 V8 engine delivers 420BHP and 8,500RPM, providing class-beating performance with a hair-raising induction and exhaust note. The four-door E90 was produced in low numbers compared to the E92 coupe, with most having been specced with the DCT gearbox and produced prior to the car's facelift, making this manual facelift saloon an extremely rare car.
This example has been owned and cherished by a Drive Collective member and has had a huge amount of care lavished upon it. All the E9X M3 'big jobs' have been carried out, with rod bearings, throttle actuators, clutch and waterpump all recently replaced. To add to this, the E90's few dynamic weak points have been sorted via a set of fully adjustable coilovers and a stunning pair of AP Racing brakes on the front axle. Polyurethane bushings replace the original aged rubber engine mounts and rear axle bushings, while a fast road alignment ensures this M3 handles as it should.
The E90 platform provides an incredible blend of performance and practicality - four doors, a big boot and generous rear seats make for a useable and sensible daily driver, whilst the 50-50 rear-wheel-drive chassis, limited-slip diff and 8,500RPM V8 provide true sportscar thrills on par with the likes of a Porsche 911. BMW M's uprated oil circulation systems mean the E90 M3 can be reliably taken on track, whilst fantastic refinement and long gearing mean this high-revving BMW can happily be used on cross-country roadtrips. This example is finished in Alpine White over a red interior, and features Apple CarPlay for modern useability.
